You might be familiar with my current push to get back to peak health and monster strength. For me, it's all a matter of applying myself to the task, using my knowledge of vitamins, exercises, and dietary practices.
Im the kind of dude that can't run or walk on a treadmill. I just cant stand that device, the scenery dont change, the fridge is too close, the phone rings, jeez,...there are just way too many distractions.. did I mention the scenery dont change ?
I feel the same way on a track.. like a hamster ...
So I hit the streets.. my hood.. the neighborhood.. Its a beautiful hood for like, a 10 mile radius. Not one abandoned house, no rundown area for miles.. nothing but the most uppity black people, my favorite kind. Its very safe for a brother like me to walk, as long as its not dark.. My height and size would get me shot..
But enough about that. See, the problem with walking in the hood is, concrete..
Its all concrete. Everything is paved.
The human body was not designed to walk or run on a hard surface, at least not for the life of its use.. thats right, concrete AND wood is an unnatural walking surface to the human body. The impact of your feet on concrete, on that tar surface, on wood, is a joint destroyer, unless you take precautions. and the precaution is a simple one, and very cheap.
Foam insoles.. yep.. the cheapest of the cheap ones. Regardless of whether or not you walk or run for exercise reasons, you need these in your sneakers, boots, and shoes.
If you live in a heavily concreted city, you need two of these in every pair...
Its easy.. buy two packs of insoles for every pair of sneakers, shoes, and boots. Cut them to size. Put the matching sides together. Crazy glue them together. This will prevent them for slipping around on each other inside your footwear.
Place them in your footwear, proper side of course..
Im serious. It will be like youre walking on a grass surface all day, saving your ankles, knees, and hips YEARS of wear and tear. It can completely save you from an arthritic older age.
Protect your machine..
