Why do we force our children to conform to the same “box” we grew up in ??
This will sound like a geek dream ( hell, Im part geek)
In any 8 ounces of water, exists enough hydrogen to power a big city for a WEEK !! It's also the cleanest energy source ever .. You wouldnt believe what the exhaust of the use of hydrogen is. WATER !! yep, it goes back to being water.. And here we are fighting battles over oil. Why havent we found a way to harness this energy yet ? Simple..You cant regulate water, thats why..
Very few people (most people I know dont even know that simple fact) are working towards extracting it safely..
Now why would should you care about such a thing ? Well I’ll tell ya ( wrote a song about it, want to hear it? Here it go ).
As a father, I just got around to telling my oldest son this astonishing fact. I also asked him to look into it, see if he could get the energy out of the glass of water. Sounds far fetched ? Not if we all ask our children such things.
We must push our children in new directions.
Directions that will seem unreachable to us, but children don’t have limits, we do. We must protect them from ourselves (self imposed limits)..
We must protect them from our ingrained belief systems, from our prejudices, from our compromises, from our fears, from our incredible lack of knowledge, and from our NEED for them to be the ones we live vicariously through. This will be painful to most of us ( no pain no gain )
We live in the age of the internet. I’ts inevitable that our children will use it too. But for what purposes? Only to check email, communicate, and look for sex ? ( Not that I’m knocking any of those very good reasons to be on the net. Hee Hee)
But we must encourage free thought in them, we must present to them the problems facing the world and LET THEM THINK OUTSIDE OF OUR BOXES. We must also present them with what we already KNOW ( not what we believe. Facts only people) and let them run with it. This will not be easy (I hope people take my insane behind serious on this one). But the rewards for our children would be well worth it.
If we want our children to live in a better society, we must not force them to conform to the beliefs of our current systems of thought. Let them build their own future. Just love them as they do it, feel me?
Oh and feed em too. They need to eat.
Be Easy, Cosmic
